I too am the daughter of a breast cancer survivor - yes, that's what she is.
Originally diagnosed in Spring 1992, it "came back" in February 2005 as
metastatic breast cancer. She has pretty much remained stable since then. This
Wednesday we go to the oncologist - I believe he's going to change her
monthly treatments from hormonal to something else. We are going to do our best
to be as positive as possible. Repeatedly she's been told to think of herself
as "living with cancer" rather than dying from it.
I think we are all lucky to have one another.
