Re: [cancercured] Cure Rates /Re:- Oncologists

Dave was on the money referring to the Australian Oncologist decrying the failure of Chemotherapy and begging for another approach because of their failure treating cancer.

We toss around the word cure when one of our list members, Vincent, himself advises we use the expression, "Sustained Remission" and I would be perfectly satisfied with a 'sustained remission'.

With millions of cancer cells floating around our body, how can we say 'cured'?

As for rates of cure thrown at us by conventional medicine? The figures can be distorted by any number of trick calculations. Some fool the patient by using the word, 'Tumor Response' which is nothing more than the reduction in size of a tumor. This in itself most often has no relation to survivability. There is universal tumor shrinkage as the result of Radiation and Chemotherapy and while anyone would enjoying seeing a tumor shrink, the end result may not have anything to do with staying alive.

Another issue with 'cure rates' and conventional treatment is that many cancers would not kill the patient in those critical five year (5) periods so often used by the Allopathic system. Those trumped up 'cures' are also thrown into the mix distorting the results. If the patient dies after the five years, the claimed 'cure' stands and the cancer is then considered a new attack. Figures don't lie............liars figure.

To sum it up, people in the know readily admit that The War On Cancer is a failure except for a couple of cancers such as certain Leukemia and Testicular Cancer.
