any other complete alternative protocol. We already KNOW the allopathic cure
rates for most cancers, so double-blind studies are not needed. A very good
indicator would be a clinic that sets people up with an alternative
protocol, and does careful followups with mail, phone and in-person
interviews. Psychologists do this kind of study all the time. It's not
perfect, but would be a good indicator.
If the people running the Gerson clinic say they don't have a good idea
of how people are doing, I think there's a reason for it. In my suspicious
mind, Gerson is so expensive and difficult that few can follow it for long;
so it's 'blame the victim' all over again.
In the Budwig Annals, there is data from a clinic in Scandinavia that is
regularly quoted as having a 95% cure rate, in the '50s. Sorry, but I have
no recollection of how for how long the followup. From being on the
flaxseedoil2 list, I can informally observe that it's nothing close to that
now. Always some reason the person failed, not the program.
Kelley quoted a very high cure rate, but only later did I learn that he
quietly excluded anyone who didn't survive 18 months.
People on this list pointed out several flaws in experimental technique. I
would, in my very unscientific way, like to point out that double-blind
studies are often flawed, that placebos are often impossible or unnecessary.
If one is comparing a new chemo with cisplatin, we already know the outcome
of cis, so double-blind ix just an extra expense.
OK, I'll climb off my high horse now. Rhoda
