Congratulations on both having picked a GREAT husband! AND on your
great success so far. I just got my first CA-125 test. At first my
doctor refused it, said it's a ridiculous test, completely unreliable
and useless and inconsistent. Then after reviewing my family history
of cancer, she suddenly changed her tune, called me and left a message
about coming in THAT SAME DAY to have blood drawn for it ! I left her
a message asking about the reason for such a drastic change of mind,
but she's been non-responsive so far. I suspect she's waiting for
results first.
Sinc you mentioned it I was hoping you could tell me what you know
about it. How reliable you've learned that it is or isn't and what
the "normal" or "healthy" range is and anything else I should know
about it. I do have several "things" in both my ovaries. So far
everyone says they are liquid filled cysts "most likely" and not
worried that my colon cancer, which I'm getting chemo for currently,
has spread or been joined by a different cancer in my ovaries...
