Well, taking vitamin C will improve your immune system - which is the
number one thing to do to keep outbreaks at bay. Lycine was shown in
labs to keep the virus from replicating. It does better with type 1
than with type 2. Arginine, by the way, seems to make the virus active.
These are not cures, but a way to stop outbreaks. It is still possible
to pass the virus on even if there are no symptoms.

I don't know anything about microplasmas. But the herpes viruses do not
survive outside the host, so I think it is still a virus.
