Would you be so kind as to help me with this?
I am looking for information to share with loved ones -- I am looking for
where I can find some somewhat convincing and credible statistics or studies (or
even practitioner observations over time) that support the idea that
chemotherapy and radiation therapy (or even radiation therapy alone without
chemotherapy) actually *shorten* the survival time expectancies of cancer patients
(including brain cancer patients) -- or at least that they only seem to
*lengthen* the survival time expectancies by a very small percentage (and only in
certain types of cancers).
Does anyone know of a website, article or book, maybe by Ralph Moss, that
addresses this question specifically, and that may contain a good solid (and
even somewhat convincing) discussion of this very thing?
Maybe "Questioning Chemotherapy" ? (published in 1995. Do you know of
anything even more updated? Should this book be up to date enough, even in light
of any recent advances in chemotherapy and radiation therapy?)
*** How about in light of the seemingly claimed advances (assuming I
understand correctly) in the more focussed targeting of bodily tissues by radiation
therapy, and maybe even regarding radiation therapy used alone without
chemotherapy, for brain cancers? ***
Before I try to get a hold of the book ("Questioning Chemotherapy") -- Does
anyone know offhand if in addition to showing that there are mostly no studies
to show correlation of *lengthened* survival time expectanices of cancer
patients with chemotherapy/radiation, (assuming that I am understanding
correctly that that is what Ralph Moss shows in his "Questioning Chemotherapy"
book), that Ralph Moss *also* provides evidence of *shortened* survival times --
and again, or at least evidence of survival time expectancies that only seem to
*lengthen* by a very small percentage (and only in certain types of
cancers)?
Maybe there's another information source that provides more evidence and
more updated evidence?
I am trying to do my best at being clear with my questions, and I am sorry
that may have gotten a little wordy.
Any guidance is greatly appreciated!
Thanks much!
peace and healing unto all,
Glen from Illinois, USA
