Not in all cases ... I found my tumor and the mammo and ultrasound both came up clean, so
there was no biopsy. Ten months later, there finally was because it had grown. Upon
excision, it was a 5.8cm invasive lobular carcinoma tumor ... and there were 8 nodes
positive. So, it was there before the mammo ... and grew a lot before excision (where it was
cancerous without a needle biopsy). :(
