Re: [cancercured] Re: Mammography-Linda - Oops

Sorry the previous message went without anything........which might have been ideal. ?

In any event Linda, you hit the 'nail on the head' when you relate the use of Mammograms to cost and equipment use and strong lobbies. For example, the investment physicians make in Scanning equipment is gigantic, and the use of scans has been increased not decreased. While listening to two Radiologists discussing 'radiation', they both agreed that every CT-Scan results in harmful radiation, however, they were quick to state that the Benefit to Risk weighed in favor of their use. And I'll add, Not For The Person Harmed!

Profit is uppermost in the Corporatism we face in the world and in medicine in Westernized nations? More so.

I remember reading an article in a Dental Journal, years ago, where the advice to the practicing dentist was 'How To make More Profit using Gold in their practice'.

There is nothing wrong with profit, and we all know that this is obvious in the Natural Health field as well. What I am afraid of is the motto, "First Do No Harm" is way down on the list of ideals in the Allopathic system witness the over prescribing of drugs with mile-long side-effects that are almost humorous when listened to during TV ads.
