It's supposed to be rare. She has tumors all over her abdomen, but the good news is there are no tumors on any major organs. At first, they saw it so widespread that they thought they were going to have to just send her home to die. But now that it's not on any major organs, but in the wall of her abdomen, they seem to think they can shrink it and then remove it all.
I, on the other hand, was dx with multiple tiny tumors all over my abdomen, but there was no "surgery" option ... just a chemo recommendation ... thank you, but NO! :) The two seem similar, but I've just never heard of carcinosarcoma. I found it on Google, but most references referred to having carcinosarcoma of the uterus or some other organ.
