[cancercured] Re:Opinions on gluten/Bill Henderson

This is what I believe, for whatever it is worth. I believe that gluten is
bad for you, as is anything else the body accepts as sugar. Sugar feeds
cancer. Gluten, such as white flour, is converted to sugar very easily in the body.
There is a bread called Ezekiel bread, which is made from sprouted grains
which are dried and ground into flour. It's not like "real" bread, but it makes
good toast. I don't think it has any "regular" flour in it. I don't eat it
very often, but sometimes I do miss sandwiches. You can get it at Whole Foods,
health food stores, etc.

As for meat and dairy, I believe the only true healthy meat to eat is
organic, and grass fed. Mass market meat, grown with grains as food, in disease
ridden, crowded lots, and subjected to antibiotics and hormones are unhealthy. I
would not stop eating meat, I would just switch to organic, grass fed meat.
I would not restrict my meat intake unless i could not eat organic grass fed
meat.

Dairy, I use raw milk, raw butter and raw cheese. They are the only healthy
way to eat dairy. Pasteurized, hormone filled traditional dairy is thought to
be the reason young girls are menstruating at such an early age. For the
same reasons that organic grass fed meat is best, organic grass fed milk is
best. My milk from Organic Pastures is from grass fed, pastured cows.

Eggs, I buy organic, cage free eggs from local farmers. It's hard to find
people who feed their chickens a grain free diet, but at least if they are not
kept in cages, they have access to insects and other things that are in their
"natural" diet. I haven't given up looking for "ideal" eggs. :-)

Veggies, same, organic is the only way to go. Preferably from local farmers
whenever I can.

If I were you, I'd go visit the Weston A. Price site (westonaprice.org) look
for a local chapter, and then ask them for sources for all of the above. I'd
also recommend the book Nourishing Traditions for a good cookbook.

I am also on the FlasSeedOil2 list, although I did not know about it when I
had cancer. I found them while I was in treatment, and if I ever should have
cancer again, I'd follow Budwig in a heartbeat. Dr. Budwig was a 6 time
Nobel nominee, and there are pages and pages of testimonials from people who have
cured themselves of cancer. There is no doubt in my mind that if Dr. Budwig
had ever won one of those Nobel prizes, FOCC would be a researched and well
known cancer cure in the world. But as we all know, our world has a vested
interest in keeping us sick and diseased. I would trust Dr. Budwig, and try to
cure myself of cancer before I would ever subject myself to chemo again.

So, I don't think that avoiding meat and dairy is the way to avoid cancer,
only the mass marketed meat and dairy will encourage cancer. I applaud your
efforts in being proactive, it's much easier to prevent cancer than to treat
it.

I hope this helps a little,
Cyndi/CA

So, I am wondering what others on this list think of gluten. I wouldn't mind buying or making gluten free bread but if you buy it you will usually find it is full of junk and completely devoid of nutrition (and often hard as rock, though tolerable if toasted). If you make it...well, much the same, really. It is all right straight out of the oven, but that's it.
