Over the weekend, I was over in upstate New York. There is a public market that has various vendors. One of these sold herbs and had stevia for sale. I had never had stevia before. I tried some and thought it was sweet with basically no after taste. The vendor indicated that not all stevia sold is basically without an after taste. I bought two bags - one I left with my 12 year old and one I took with me. I have already used some stevia to sweeten tea. The sweetness is good. I don't care for the leafy matter so much.
My question is is this stuff supposed to act against tumors? All tumors? Any tumors?
I went to wikipedia to find information on stevia. There is nothing conclusive. A study suggested it may be a mutagen, but there was nothing conclusive.
Regards,
Walter
