[cancercured] Re: High temperatures---Spinach

Hi, GB. Hi, Melly.

GB--- then do people in Canada, which is even farther north than
North Dakota, have even longer life spans? And what about the people
who live in the Arctic?

Melly--- thanks for the warning on spinach. There is plenty of advice
from both mainstream and alternative not to eat too much spinach---
that the oxalic acid can indeed contribute to kidney stones, though I
also read something a while back that vegetables containing oxalic
acid are more anti-cancer than other vegetables. The warnings about
spinach said to be sure to drink plenty of pure water daily.

Also, the literature said frozen spinach can actually have more
nutrients than fresh spinach because even fresh spinach has lost
nutrients by the time it gets to the grocery store. But then, one can
hardly make a salad out of thawed spinach, and cooking spinach causes
it to lose nutrients. So I will likely keep eating raw spinach, but
will eat a bit less of it than I have been.

Best wishes,

Elliot
