The statement on the bottle is misleading. Technically, a colloid
refers to particles equally suspended in a solution. The particles may
be ions, atoms, or molecules.
There is a lot of misuse of the terminology in the marketing of silver
solutions.
If the stuff is properly made and you are not drinking absurd amounts of
it, then it is perfectly safe and, quite often, effective.
Even if it were poorly made, in the amounts you would be using in a
throat spray, it would be safe.
