We make our own (colloidal?) silver ions using a silvergen machine.  This stuff is just wonderful.  Anytime my hubby and i feel that we are coming down with a cold, tonsilitis, or headaches and flu like symptoms, even upset stomachs, and gum inflammation, we ingest a teaspoon of 10 ppm colloidal silver ion and it amazingly stops it on its track.  We continue to take it twice a day (morning and evening) for three days even if symptoms have stopped.  As to the gum inflammation, my hubby puts it in the gums, kinda soaks and also ingests.  It was healed.
