This is great news for your mom, and for you!  Take all the good news you can get, and relish it.

So glad to hear about your mom! That is quite a shock since they said she was terminal! I'm so happy for your family!

My mom's doctor tells her she is in remission now and is getting 11 weeks off of chemo. This really blindsided me! I want to be so happy and do cartwheels and believe she is cured but I am having a hard time with this for some reason. I am thanking the lord that he has given us more time with my mom, I am so sooo thankful! The part I am having trouble with is why would they wait 11 weeks before doing any more blood tests, scans, etc. When my mom's cancer was caught a little over a year ago she was told she would always be on chemo, that she was a stage 4 with a very agressive cancer and would always be on chemo. How do you go from always being on chemo to no chemo for 11 weeks? My mom so needs the break from this, her body needs this time to recover. However, why would they wait 11 weeks before doing any blood tests. Could everything really be ok? Has anyone had an experience like this? I am getting horror stories from others of the cancer coming back
harder and
worse than ever and taking family members quickly after a remission. I continue to pray for full recovery for my mom! Thanks for listening. I feel like such a pessimist, I want to be an optimist!
