Sometimes when you take amino acids you have to take them alone to
get a specific pharmacological-like effect. I'm guessing you know
this. I don't think this is one of those cases. I think the effect
is dose related, but that you could have the other amino acids
present in the blood. The amino blood pool lasts for much of the day
and it is the reason we can get by eating less than complete proteins
from various plant derived sources. We don't have to eat
complementary proteins in the same meal (as in the older Francis
Moore Lappe model). We can get some aminos in the morning and some
in the afternoon and still get them to combine via the blood pool.
