While not a critical point, for information's sake and a bit more understanding, the 'fever' is not what is wrong with a body, the fever is but another defense mechanism of the body and part of the reason the white blood cells and other efforts take place. Sometimes the body, in its effort at healing, goes astray as in the case when an insect might sting one's tongue and the swelling, another defense mechanism, closes the air passage and one suffocates. Far fetched, but an example of the defense mechanism working but not helping.
