I've read about this theory many times in my research on cancer but still don't quite understand it completely.
Does it mean that being conservative with iron intake will prevent cancer from forming in undiagnosed people?
Does it mean that if you have cancer, you should eliminate iron as much as possible from your diet?
So, no liver, no liverwurst (my favorite!), no cast iron cooking dishes, etc?
And what about while you are anaemic with cancer? Should you not take iron supplements to combat anaemia?
And by the way - I've asked 6-7 of my doctors about this, whether iron contributes to cancer growth and their answers were always a definitive "no" frustratingly enough.
If you can help me understand this better, I would be grateful.
