Another good point and again rearing the ugly head of 'inflammation' and it is inflammation that can cause the very thing we are most concerned about.
I personally know of one case where the regular use of a catheter, and that was 3-4 times a day, was considered the very possible cause of Squamus Cell Bladder Cancer. There is at least one PubMed article on this problem.
Inflammation, a dirty word for sure.
