It is best i think to buy from local farm markets
which carry organic produce. This is what hubby and I
do every Saturday morning. we go to the farm market
to buy our fruits, vegetables, mushrooms all
organically grown. But as we were discussing, farmers
can be growing crops organically but if somewhere near
them a farmer is growing gmo crops, the gmo spores
containing virus, bacteria or even cancerous organisms
can be carried by the wind to the organically grown
produce of its neighbors. This is also the reason why
gmo farmers should indicate that they have genetically
modified plants so the surrounding areas can protect
themselves, if they can.
