2) Any way to email/ask Doug Kauffman? I just see he has a radio show..he may know the answers.
3) How did Dr S monitor the bladder? I know that the med literatutre says that cytoscope is the gold stanard, with 95% accuracy. But maybe he has another way?

As long as the catheter use is temporary their use should not be a problem. Extended use, which would be lots more than a few instillations of Bicarb, have been related to Squamous Cell Bladder Cancer and that is one you do not want!
