[cancercured] Re: Vergito

Gracie:
American medical doctors are well trained in anatomy and physiology and
consequently are quite good at diagnosis but because there are numerous
causes of vertigo your husband may have to go to a neurologist, an Ear,
Nose and Throat specialist or to a comprehensive clinic like the House
Clinic in Los Angeles for a definite diagnosis. Edwin Casimero is
almost certainly in error, in that the external meatus -- the ear
cartilage on the outside of the skull is not part of the complicated
mechanism of the inner ear, the vestibular apparatus, that maintains
equilibrium.
My wife suffers from Meniere's Disease -- characterized by acute
attacks of vertigo leading to nausea and vomiting-- very similar to
motion sickness and often ameliorated in the same way by Dramamine.
She is able to largely control it by diet. This probably has no
relevance to your husband's vertigo. I strongly recommend you consult
with someone trained in this field, or at least check sites like
www.doctoryourself.com which is authoritative and informed.
All the best,
Jonathan
