[cancercured] Canadian & U.S. supplements in jeopardy??

Bill C-51 is attempting to put supplements into the drug category. Protests have temporarily slowed its passage, with promises of amendments which sounded good but in reality are worse. Even Mercola was fooled by this ploy, and retracted his "good news" that the Canadian Government had backed off.

The FDA is now QUIETLY working to ban supplements in the U.S. according to a video on U-Tube. Check it out. The U.S. has been trying to eliminate access to supplements since 1950.

Supplements along with diet improvements have cured thousands  of "incurable" cancers.See Kelly, Gerson and Abraham Hoffer programs to name a few). Many who have not been cured have had greatly extended life spans, and improved quality of life. Our freedom to choose is about to become extinct. It has happened in Germany and
Australia.

Canada's story is that they have only public safety in mind. No vitamin has ever been verified to cause even one death, while  even aspirin is said to cause 10,000 deaths a year.Chemo has the reputation of a 10% mortality rate.

Health Canada has been throttling access to anything called "natural" or organic, with a loss to Candians of about 20,000 of the 50,000 different products available.

Canada  even banned organic tampons made of organic cottons. They deemed the applicator a "medical device".This does not seem to apply to Tampax and other non-organice tampons which are sold by the millions. Cotton is the most heavily sprayed crop in the world, and unregulated as it is not considered a food crop.Perhaps years of absorption of unregulated pestisides might cause cancer ?

Democracy seems to be on the way out.But only if we allow it. Fight -fight -fight. Emails are good, but a handwritten letter has the
weight of about 100 emails.

Google will bring up all the names and addresses of polititions and goverment regularoty office in both the U.S. and Canda.

The facts in this article are not correct. The author says, "Bill C-51 is attempting to put supplements into the drug category." Actually, in Canada, NHPs are already a sub-category of drugs and have been since the 2004 NHP Regulations.

The author say, "Protests have temporarily slowed its passage". Actually, the Bill has passed first reading and had two session of debate in the House before summer recess. The Bill is on course to pass second reading this fall, after which it will be sent to committee for hearings. However, the Canadian PM is about to call an election, in which case all Bills will die on the order paper. Given that Bill C-51 is an important updating of the Food and Drugs Act concerning product safety for drugs, NHPs, food, cosmetics and medical devices, I suspect that it will be reintroduced under the new government, whether it is Liberal or Conservative.

The author says, "Health Canada has been throttling access to anything called "natural" or organic, with a loss to Candians of about 20,000 of the 50,000 different products available." Not true. Since the NHP Regulations came into force in 2004, Health Canada has been working with the NHP industry to license products for safety, quality and effectiveness. Only half of the Canadian NHP inventory have been submitted, and Health Canada has reviewed over 13,000 applications. The process to license NHPs continues, but in the meantime, they have not been disappearing from the shelves. Bill C-51 does not change how NHPs will be licensed. Whatever was available before the Bill, will be available after the Bill.

Health Canada's NHP Directorate is led by a naturopath, staffed by CAM professionals and advised by CAM practitioners. If there is a conspiracy to eliminate NHPs in Canada, it is a very inefficient and unnoticeable one.

NHP consumers deserve to have the safety and quality of their NHPs protected. I doubt that the NHP industry is so saintly that they would never compromise product safety to make more profit.
