It seems that there was an original team that developed a BELS machine in the 1990s - then the people involved went in different directions. Koonce developed the VIBE and others developed the SEAD. And someone else took the SEAD and called it the Evenstar.

The SEAD 6000 series has two versions - an AC and a DC which - used when together constitute their 12000 series. ie the 12000 series is two 6000 series machines used together. The Evenstar website seems to suggest that the 12000 series is a single machine
