Re: [cancercured] Arsenic trioxide

Arsenic trioxide (usually used as potassium arsenite) is very useful
in cancer treatment as long as you respect its limitations. Patients
develop a tolerance to it very quickly which is reminiscent of
cisplatin, etoposide, methotrexate. It is not curative. Its best
use is when it is crunch time. It can be used with ascorbate,
menadione and trolox to increase effectiveness. I would reduce B-6
and selenium while doing this. 10 mg intravenous is a usual medical
dose and it is generally considered safe, but there have been a few
unexplained deaths reported in the literature using this amount. We
usually don't go above 5mg. I have one reference from the 1850s that
recommends up to 360 mg orally over six hours for snake
bite! Gastrointestinal disturbances can be expected. Back then it
was usually used as Fowler's Solution which has a rather weak
activity against cancer. If you want to use natural forms of arsenic
then I recommend using bracken fern. It would be best though to work
with someone experienced. The bottom line is that on rare occasions
arsenic is very useful.
