I strongly agree w/sunshine, but most people don't get nearly enough,
and I doubt cancer patients can get sufficient therapeutic doses from
it. The vast majority of what I've read suggests vit. D (in moderate
to moderately-high dosages) is cancer-healing. My notes:
Vit. D-- effective w/GBM, prostate, breast (may prevent metastasis), &
skin cancer (including melanoma, especially during chemo). Synergistic
w/Taxol and w/vit. E?. Cod liver oil's a great source of vit. D.
Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is antimetastatic, enhances immunity, and
appears effective w/prostate cancer, AML leukemia, and particularly
breast cancer. Synergistic w/vit. A (so take cod liver oil). Take
w/flax seed oil or Omega-3 fish oil. I've seen 2,000 IU used
successfully w/prostate cancer. www.mbschachter.com says 2000 IU is
safe; he takes 5000 IU and gives some patients up to 10,000 but
monitors them. 1000 IU [w/calcium] reduced cancer rates 77% in 4 yrs
[Grant, 2007]).
