You are of course free to disagree with what I have said, but it is 
very common for those with bronchitis or asthma to suffer bronchospasms 
if they eat very cold stuff or drink ice water. The respiratory tract 
is "all of a piece," from the back of the throat on down, and it does 
indeed get affected by very cold stuff. I have several books about 
bronchitis and asthma in which the PhD authors say that the cillia are 
affected by eating and drinking cold stuff. I trust also that those who 
live in very cold climates breathe through their noses, so as to give 
the air a chance to warm up some. I myself always experience 
coughing/bronchospams after eating ice cream or eating or drinking 
something else very cold. I am sure that out of 3,500 people on this 
board, some members will relate, from their own experience, to what I 
am saying.
