Hey CC, you can get it without a prescription, depending on where you live, state-wise. I live in California, and am required to have a prescription. But you can find out, and get the test,

I just received the spot test because I want to see if I'm deficient, for real, before starting supplementing with iodine. I don't want to take it if I'm really not deficient, especially since I've been hyperthyroid for the past 5 years.
