Hi Elliot,
Regarding what you say about the one minute strenuous exercise increasing
the number of killer cells.
I wonder if this is useful also for a person with a solid tumour (lung
cancer, for instance, which is what my mother has). I don't know a lot about
physiology but I guess more killer cells are good whatever the case, I just
wonder if this strenuous exercise thing works for killer cells in the lymph
or for the whole body. I mean, I have heard and read before about exercise
being good for the immune system, but also that a cancer patient should not
exert him/herself to the point of being exhausted... So I am just trying to
figure out pros and cons for this and if it is as benefitial for someone
with a solid tumour as it seems to be for someone with a lymphoma...
[My mom is 70 and quite active and feeling well, considering, but still far
from the physical condition she had before chemotherapy (also she has kidney
failure caused by chemotherapy, this also causes tiredness) and is currently
taking a "mild" form of chemo, Tarceva, which is not giving her side
effects so far, but is also supposed to cause great fatigue. ]
Thanks and best wishes,
