I am so sorry to hear about this.
It is so strange when I hear stories like this, because it has always
seemed to me that doctors do too many tests, if anything. When I hear
about them being so severely neglectful---that they didn't do an x-
ray for several years---it shocks me.
About "all hell breaking loose," I would have walked out, subsequent
to telling the doctor not to dare bill me for the x-ray, and left him
in his "breaking hell." One of the FIRST RULES for someone newly
diagnosed with cancer is NOT to panic. Doctors do a great job of
getting their clients to panic as much as possible when they are dx'd
with cancer. Panic does absolutely no good at all, and can do much
harm.
I am not sure why you are particularly concerned about your daughter
being diagnosed with cancer. Could you state why this is a big
concern of yours, please?
I would, instead of troubling with tests and scans for "early
detection," educate your daughter in how to live as healthfully as
possible. You can find some of my comments about living healthfully
if you go to SEARCH box on the message page of this group,
