Chlorine and its resultant by-products are established carcinogens. It would be more so with a hot bath or shower because, apparently, it is the vapors which cause them to be inhaled making them more available to do their dirty work. Specifically indoor pools and showers were mentioned as even more causative factors.

While this information was gleaned from medical studies regarding Bladder Cancer, my opinion is that one might consider the information for all cancers.
