I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. In the Budwig diet, you
get CLA from the cottage cheese or quark that is eaten twice a day.
Regarding fish oils replacing flaxseed oil, Dr. Budwig explained in
her books that no other oil has the high level of electrons gained
from sunlight as the seeds of the flax plant. It is the electrons
that are active in flaxseeds and cold-pressed flax oil that
revitalize the cells of the body. She didn't choose flax oil only
because of the essential fatty acids although that is part of the
reason for her choice, but the main reason was the electrons. We know
that our bodies run on electrical signals. We need foods that provide
electrons which are vital for proper functioning. Cold-pressed flax
oil does that. And when it is blended and bonded with the sulphur
proteins in cottage cheese or quark, the oil becomes water soluble
and is digested and metabolized into the tissues and cells where it
does its healing work. This was one of Dr. Budwig's great discoveries.
This bonding is what makes the difference in how well the oil is able
to heal. Taking that high amount of oil without bonding it and making
it water soluble could be a problem because the body would have a
hard time digesting and assimilating it. The membrane of each cell is
made up of the essential fatty acids in flax oil. In order for the
membrane to be able to protect the cell, it needs a constant supply
of EFA's.
It's the bonding that changes the oil that is important in sending it
where it needs to go, allowing it to do its work. Nuts and beans
cannot create this bond with the oil. I haven't read of anyone having
success by using them with FO. People who have trouble with dairy can
usually overcome it by using goat milk cheese or cheese made from raw
milk.
You can read excerpts from Dr. Budwig's book, Flax Oil as a True Aid
Against Arthritis, Heart Infarction, Cancer and Other Diseases, in
our files. It explains the value of flax oil and what it does in
the body when bonded with cottage cheese or quark.

for grass fed beef containing CLA, Conjugated Linoleic Acid, as a
cancer fighter, but I know someone on the Flaxseedoil2 group had a
relapse in cancer after eating it daily, so I'm still wondering about
that. I noticed most of the google entries were from beef producers
or farmers.

if the people who are allergic to dairy for the BP could do well on
fish oils instead, as there wouldn't be a problem with converting the
ALA to EPA and DHA. One site in particular didn't have to
fractionally distill their oil to remove mercury and toxins since it
was taken from very pure waters and scrupulously tested. It also
had all the superfluous oils like oleic acid and palmitic acid that
make up the bulk of most fish oils removed to leave just the omega 3
oils.

balanced omega 6 : omega 3 oils and containing Methionine and Cystine
could possibly substitute for dairy, especially if nutritional yeast
and onion and garlic were added. Has anyone ever successfully tried
doing that?
