[cancercured] pharmacutical companies

At one of the Immunocal meeting they mentioned that early on that the Dr that came up with it (Dr. Jimmy Gutman) First went to a pharmaceutical company , to sell it to them to produce. When one of the men at the meeting that worked for the pharmaceutical company went to him alone and asked to speak to him , later that evening.
He then told him he had a family member with cancer and wanted to be able to get this product and for them and  for the general public to have access to it.
 
And said the company he worked for was planing to buy the patents and file them away and never produce it. He asked him to please not sell it to them (and probably not tell his boss he talked to him either :) .
And told him to promote it himself.
That is when they decided to do it multilevel. And they believed they could get it out to more people that way. and actually less expensive.
 
 
But , if the pharmacutical companies tried to squelch this product , how many others have they actually done this to, over the years, and succeeded?
