1) In my case i believe the URO took it all out..because he said "I'll have to remove them, and I will also shave off some of the prostate".".
At the surgery the nurse shwoed me what was to be done and it said " TURP of bladder tumors
TUIRP of the prostate"
Afterwards, the next appt.,he said here were 3, and only one was "aggresive'.... he said "the aggreesive one usually comes back'.. He also said he did not do the prostate, because he wanted to make sure he got the tumor out.
And i read his report, which said this "tumor was resected and the area was fulgurated ( I dont know what that means), and that the base wall was groslsy clean. And all tissues were evacuated to be sent to patholgy..."
So my clear impresion was he took it all out..so MAYBE I am tumor free now, and I can prevent it coming back by using these methods.
2) The biopsy report said "transitional cell ca., high grade 3-4/4, with invasion of the lamina propria..There was no muscluaris propria identified for evaluation". That also made me feel that thre was no muscula invasion (which is more serious)
Then I went to allexperts.co, where docs of diffrent specialities answer questions via email..they are well qualified.. they just ask if they an email you nfo about some drugs/products,and you can decline..I asked a patholgist re the biopsy report and her answer was :
"This is transitional T1 cell ca, with no muscular invasion. If it involved he muscle it would be a T2..."
3) Meanwhile , the URO just said "come bavk in 3 months for another cytoscope, but if it start bleeding, come earlier." On my own I asked "shouldn't I do something to prevent it from copming back..maybe see an oncologist?" So he said OK and referred me to one at the county Hopsital ( cant afford insurance).
The oNCO freaked me out, aying we;ll ahve to do 6 sessions of chemo, plus maybe radiatio, and then still emove the whole bladder ..bladder ancer is BAD..its sneaky... a few cells amy have escaped, and not be detectable " She said the UROs cannot take the whole tumor out, just a bit of it for biopsy ( she had not talked with the uRO yet..just read the reports)_ I told her this contradicted what the URO had told me...she is going to talk to him an get back to me.
My feeling is that if it has NOT penetrated the muscle, I can see if I can prevent it from comuing back, etc..the bladder removal is brutal I have heard..plus teh chemo, etc.. She lso said there are no accurate tests to momnitor the bladdrer ca, and all other methods such as BCG which is put in thru the catheter, and less toxic , dont work..I have heard , on a urology website video by an MD that BCG is teh most successful therapy for superfical, intermediate AND high grade bladder tumors !!
Pl;us taht cytoscopic exam is very accurate (the gold standard ) for monitoring bladder ca.
4) I iwll write teh URO and ask specifilly if he remove it all. at least the visible part
Any ideas?

Hello VINCENT,
Well, It might be possible that direct contact of baking soda on a
bladder tumor that has not penetrated into the wall of the bladder
might have some effect. This would be difficult in that most tumors
are encapsulated and things tend to flow around them unless combined
with a penetrant such as DMSO.
This effect on a bladder mass could not happen if the baking soda were taken by mouth.............
