[cancercured] New (old?) ideas on cancer cure

I went to a week long retreat on wholistic methods for curing cancer,
and picked up some interesting ideas I had not encountered before.

First was the idea that a person's specific deficiencies needed to be
addressed before anything else. MRT was used for this. I'm a little
leery of MRT, but got some interesting results from it.

Most people in the group were tested as having very low thyroid
function, so we were all put on some supplements to boost the thyroid
(kelp/iodine with extra indredients). The fellow who runs the group
says that low thyroid, caused mainly by iodine deficiency, is a huge
contributing factor to cancer.

Most of us were identified as having very low stomach acid, so we
were put on HCL supplements. (betadine HCL and pepsin)

About half of us tested for low adrenal output, so we were put on
supplements to address that (B5,C, and some herbs).

I also tested weak for liver and kidney function, and was placed on
supplements for those (e.g., milk thistle, artichoke, dandelion for
liver).

I also tested for having parasites. (Where??? What kind???) At any
rate, I was put on a typical parasite cleanse for that -- black
walnut, slippery elm, Drano, etc. The guy who runs the group says
(like Hulda Clark) that parasites are THE CAUSE of some cancers, like
colon cancer. But he says other cancers are caused by estrogen
problems, not parasites. I have some problems with this idea, but I
did, and will continue to do parasite cleanses just to boost my
immune system in case I do have some parasites.

The guy who ran the place stressed over and over that MRT was the way
to go in terms of determining deficiencies, and that one supplement
with 10 mg of something might be better than another supplement with
100x that dose, if your body tested better to the weaker dose item.
He also seemed to stress synergistic mixtures of herbs and vitamins.

He had some interesting views on diet. He claimed that soy was just
fine, because everyone he MRT tested tested very strong to soy. He
said that honey was terrible -- again because most people MRT tested
very weak for honey. He said that barley greens tested very weak and
he did not recommend straight barley greens as a supplement. He said
evaporated cane sugar was OKAY because it always tested strong (I
don't trust this one at all). He said many people are okay with
whole wheat and don't need to avoid it, while others do need to avoid
it. So his food selection was a bit unpredictable in that it was
based totally on MRT. However, in general, it followed the standard
anti-cancer diet suggestions and stressed alkalinity, no meat, no
sugar, all organic, etc., with 80% raw food and 20% cooked vegan
food.

He was really down on dairy, saying dairy was worse than meat or
sugar, in fact worse than anything. I'm not sure at all how this can
correlate with the Budwig approach. But he did say that the real
culprit in dairy was the casein and lactose, so that plain yogurt is
okay. So maybe I can figure out how to make the Budwig mix using
plain yogurt.

The second part of the overall approach was cleansing. This involved
a week long juice / supplement fast, with 2 water and 2 coffee enemas
a day (self-administered). It appeared to be something of a modified
Gerson approach. Truly, the worst part of the waking up was the
Folgers up the butt.

Cleansing also involved daily walks, "dry brushing", two massages,
sunbathing, and deep breathing. (Personally I would add yoga to
that if I could have).

The third part of the retreat was spiritual / emotional. I won't go
into that in detail, but it involved forgiveness, an "attitude of
gratitude", positive thoughts, and long term planning. There was a
very specific religious approach, but for the sake of religious
freedom, I will leave the specific details out in that regard.

The person who ran this center had a wife who recovered from stage
4+++ breast cancer (had been sent home to die) using the basic
approach. Unfortunately, she died about 8 years later from liver
failure, which was due to complications from her allopathic
treatment. But she did not die of cancer.

It is hard to judge the success rate of this approach -- the people
who ran the place could not legally say. I did see a lot of second-
hand testimonials of successes. I also heard of some failures.

All in all I am feeling much better after the week's stay. I cannot
continue the approach 100% for a few weeks, but plan on going on an
extended 3 week juice fast using the approach in about 3 more weeks.
