Hello everyone,
Just wanted to pass this along to see if what's going on makes sense to all
of you. Mom had relatively stable recurrence of b/c from 2005 until June
2008 (after initial diagnosis/mastectomy in spring 1992). After being treated
with monthly hormonal infusions and Femara and then Aromasin, she had two
rounds of chemo (Avastin and Taxol) on June 19th and June 25th. By the 27th she
was in the hospital with very bad reactions to the chemo.
Fast forward to now - she's in a rehab place, after recovering. She got
VERY weak and had a touch of pneumonia. She also had five radiation treatments
to take care of issues with her lung. She had lost her voice and had a
terrible cough but that is all better now. She is getting cranky, annoyed with
the food and wants to come home. The doctors, nurses, and therapists take this
as a good sign.
Does this all sound reasonable to you? We go to the oncologist on Wednesday
for an update and to see what's next.
Thanks,
Lisa in PA
