Re: [cancercured] SCIO /Re: Weird machine

The Church of Scientology applies pressure to stop all non-authorized
sales of e-meters. After all the e-meter is a religious device. I
don't think anyone can argue with that. There doesn't seem to be
much science involved.

The Church of Scientology may seem like a cult to many, but to the
less tolerant, every religion but their own seems like a manipulative
cult. I think that if I wanted an e-meter, I would respect the
believers and just make my own equivalent. Imagine the uproar if
consecrated Catholic hosts went on sale on EBay. Bad idea.

The farther we look back in history the easier it is to conclude that
everyone at that time was insane and quite stupid. There will come a
time when everyone who lived in 2008 will equally seem to be a bad
joke. There may even come a future millennium when the genetically
modified human race will lump 21st century humans together with our
wild-eyed savannah-loping ancestors as being virtually
indistinguishable -- a bunch of grunting, blathering, ignorant,
violent, greedy, frightened and frightening sociopaths. Of course
everyone on this list is a clear exception.
