It seems logical that not ALL the cells might be dying when a tumor is
shrinking. Many cells might not be susceptible to whatever is
shrinking the tumor. That's what happens with chemotherapy. You
select for the most resistant cells. The tumor shrinks, but the
toughest nuts to crack live on to reproduce. This probably can happen
with some alternative therapies, also.
