Re: [cancercured] Where do tumors go when they die?

Simon,
The way I understand the body works, is that it generates a number of defective cells each and every second. The immune system is capable of recognizing these malformations and for the most part it tags and destroy them in the fashion you outlined.
Tumors grow when the capacity of the immune system is overwhelmed. The immune system can be overwhelmed by distractions such as fighting allergens, viral, bacterial and fungal infections, poor digestion and formation of immuno-complexes, hormonal imbalances, etc.
Elimination of of these infections, poor eating habits, bad digestion, etc. automatically strenghtens the immune system and thus its capacity to detect and destroy mutant cancer cells.
The trick in my mind is to maintain an infection-free body reduce stress and strenghten the immune system.

Most therapies destroy cancer cells outright, either by activating immune system cells or by directly obliterating them (drugs, radiation, radio waves, enzymes etc etc). The dead cells and debris are elimated through all the usual channels... as long as they are working OK.
So I guess dead cells could stick around if the immune system scavengers are not up to scratch and if blood flow and lymph drainage is not efficient, or if the liver is not working well.
Normally white blood cells "eat" dead or dying cells in a process known as phagocytosis, breaking them into small bits which they then expel for elimination. Enormous amounts of metabolic wastes can be produced when the body starts breaking down a tumour, which is why many alternative cancer treatments ue coffee enemas to stimulate efficient liver and gallbladder function, which helps deal with the toxins.
Although tumour shrinkage is often a goal of conventional treatment, it is more important to stop cancer cells spreading. The question I'd like answered is whether it is possible that the cells are NOT dying while the tumour is shrinking.
