Re: [cancercured] Re: Sugars and cancer ...

I disagree completely with this. Stay away from simple sugars that are consumed separated from the context in which they are found in nature. In other words, avoid refined sucrose and high fructose corn syrup. Learn about the glycemic index of foods (Google it). If you eat any high index foods, eat them with fat and protein at the same time. Fruits are a good addition in moderation. They contain pectin as well as various pigments, antioxidants and other phytochemicals that are antagonistic to cancer cells. Strive to keep your blood glucose in the normal range. Supplementation with chromium and cinnamon as well as certain herbs such as cat's claw are helpful if your fasting blood sugar is on the high end. Cancer cells gobble up a lot of glucose. They will do this regardless of your consumption of fruit. They dump a lot of lactate into your system and get your own liver to convert it into glucose. This is what cachexia is all about. Fruits, eaten whole, preferably
organically grown will maintain your own energy levels, won't feed the cancer any more than any other complex carbohydrate, and will provide many nutrients helpful in a cancer fight.

Also the macrophages become paralized by it. While it is true that
sweet fruits leave an ash residue which is alkalizing and thus good
for us, sugar has been absorbed into the blood stream which is fuel
for the cancer. No friuts should not be in the diet when trying to
overcome cancer.
