I have no idea about dosages fro NAC, however, it has a short half life which means if one wants it circulating in their body they need to take it every few hours.

When I am diligent about its use, for much more than scan concerns, I take two 600 mg capsules every few hours as part of a chelation effort along with EDTA and because there is evidence NAC is specific for Bladder cancer.

During a conversation with Vincent some time back, who advised about the 'half-life' of NAC, he commented,
"NAC is good stuff". At that time there was no discussion about its use when getting scans. It is also a substance used when there is Acetaminophen (Tylenol) overdose.
