[cancercured] Re:Can't afford HIFU. Any good suggestions

There is a doctor Bard in NYC tel. no. (212) 355-7017.  He can see with his GE machine - super power doppler with 2-D, 3-D, 4-D imaging if the tumor is cancer or not and if it is dead. He does not take insurance.  Consultation and the scan cost $900 six months ago.  His machine can pick up what MRI can't detect.
If you want to go Hifu, there is a doctor in San Antonio, who will do HIFU tests for FDA approval of the protocol this coming September.  You might want to call his office and inquire on how to get on the list of would be volunteers, but it would still cost you some money, not totally  free.  Here is his name and telephone number in his office:

                         Dr. David Talley
                         12709 Topperwein
                         Suite 110
                         San Antonio, Texas
                         Tel 1-800-798-5111

Also, if you research HIFU, on its homepage says "welcome texans".  Follow the lead, it will lead you to be put on the list.

I hope this helps you.

Melly
