Wow! This statement is totally incorrect. Even sodium chloride
seperates immediately in water via hydration shells. That's what is
happpening when it dissolves.
Sodium bicarbonate "fizzes" when it hits any acid. That's the carbon
dioxide seperating. Try mixing a little vinegar and baking soda.
Sodium sensitive hypertension is a familial condition, common in
certain ethnic gene pools. It was selected for in areas where drought
was common. Although some types of hypertension are helped via
magnesium and calcium supplementation, this one is not entirely.
Upping the intake helps a bit, but won't, generally get you into a
healthy range without restriction of sodium intake. "Drinking
another glass of water" does not help. The condition is already a
matter of excess fluid in the blood stream.
