Curing Cancer Diet Foods you should eat and foods to avoid

The main reason why so much cancer today is because our diets have changed before that he had not changed for thousands of years. Wrong diet is the single factor most important in the development of all cancers. While the cancer may be difficult to overcome for some people, do not need the death penalty. The answer is to "heal yourself with our natural food becomes your medicine as food therapy plays an important role in the cure for cancer. We might think we eat healthier because information on the container and while some aspects of food labeling is regulated, most of what the label is pure marketing. Manufacturers of food is always emphasized that the good and ignore the negative to trick you into buying their product. This is a western society we have created our processed foods, and then we advertise that our faith should we all when in fact give us obesity, diabetes, heart disease and cancer, a disease that does not use 40 to 50 years ago.

It is often mistakenly believe that we are smarter than nature, and we can take food and make it better. No matter what it says on the package, we can not, we can not fix nature. With this in mind, the best foods to cure cancer is to achieve is that fresh food grown, not processed in any form, is not included, and, if possible, is organic produce.

I lost my aunt a few years ago due to a long battle with cancer. He received treatment and the doctor gave her clean bill of health after cancer removal. Nearly 10 years passed, during my aunt happy, energetic and just loves life. Until one day he returned to the news-check, worse, they discovered that the cancer had reappeared. That was the turning point of my aunts lived. I certainly can remember the sick and bed ridden.He tubes everywhere. She can not bathe themselves. They said. Shortly after re-diagnosed, my aunt died in the summer of 1996. It was then that I dedicated to cancer research. I know that road. I want to teach themselves how to cure cancer.
I dedicate myself and through my research I have been able to help others. Despite what the doctors tell you, cure the cancer itself is not possible. Of course I am saying the Allopathic system has failed..........they are the ones proclaiming 'The War On Cancer'.

I did not infer that there is no hope in Alternative but rather, at the end, showed that unless people do an alternative protocol they are in serious trouble. There is almost no hope for the poor soul that develops metastasis and remains in the care of the conventional physician/oncologist/radiologist.

Hey Angie,

I do live in Texas. I knew someone said they took their mother to MD Anderson, but I could not remember who. At her last appointment after joining the group, I sat in the lobby and saw a daughter with her family and wondered if it was any of you guys. It actually made me feel better. Knowing that we aren't alone in this.

My mom's doc is Dr. Andreopolu (I guess it's requirement to have a name you can't pronounce), but she is wonderful. My mother is from East Houston and I live in the Sugarland/Richmond area. She's is now living with us.

I read the same thing of our mother's from you guys, on how they are tacklling these tremendous obstacles. I often wonder if I would be as strong. But I think now, facing this situation, as hard as it can be, I feel I can do anything, and know I can get through this.

I know my mom has the same worry. What we will do when she is gone. We have gotten to the point that she has decided to do Hospice care, which is scary and comforting at the same time. Scary because I know she wants to stop fighting, comforting, because I know she won't have to get up all the time and wait for hours on end at these appointments, where she comes home wiped out just from waiting and going from one place to another.

We talked about it last night over a romantic bowl of Chef Boyardee (I made it myself). I could tell how relieved she was to be able to have this choice. She's had a hard battle, and she fought hard. And I don't think that however this ends that we will have lost. What other time will I have the opportunity to wake up and see my mom's beautiful face, to care for her in such a way that she is only comfortable with a select few. What other time will I be able to tell my mom how wonderful she is and be able to just sit with her and hold her hand. I am truly honored.

I carry my mom's strength with me everyday. I feel like a have a secret weapon. People around me are rushing through traffic, tapping thier feet in a rush at the grocery store, and I know they just don't know. My mom is my strength, my shield, she has given me life and shown me how precious life can be. I am eternally greatful.

Eliza,

Do you live in Texas? I am blessed with a wonderful husband that is willing
to do what ever he can to make sure that Mom is taken care of. I am also
blessed that she has my Dad to support and care for her. He will have to
return to work soon, so I will be taking care of her during this time.

My Mom technically never had breast cancer-only breast cancer markers for
the cancer in her bones. She is treated at the breast center at MD
Anderson. Her official diagnosis is Metastatic Cancer with Unknown Primary.
Doctors (Dr Cristofanilli) have told her that she may have had a tumor, that
her body killed and absorbed. Unfortunately, not before it went to her
bones.

I've also learned that my mom is my hero and someone I strive to be like
everyday. I wish I had her strength.

I couldn't have said this better myself. My mom had to have a spinal tap to
rule out Lepto mets. They had to stick her 12 times. She did not complain,
or get angry. She said they were just trying to do their best (and they
were.)

Through all of this, she still manages to smile, and her greatest fear is
about what we will do without her.

We were so happy when radiation was over and she got to "ring the bell" at
MD Anderson to signify her last visit. Little did we know that about 3
months later we would be right back there. It has progressed to stage IV
and has metastisized to her bones, mainly her pelvis, her spine, liver,
stomach and now some lung tissue. We recently brought her home from the
hospital and she is staying with my husband and I. I was so thrilled to
have her home, so happy to be away from all the constant visits.

I have such mixed emotions about all this. Right now I think I'm pissed
(pardon my french). Why did it have to come back. Why can't we get a
break?? You know I see those little commercials on TV of survivors and I get
so jealous and envious. Why can't we have that?

My mother is so young as well, and is my best friend. I have to stop myself
from calling her all the time like I used to. These days, unless the phone
is in her lap she cannot reach it. We're working on Physical therapy and
are improving a lilttle more each day.

I try so hard to be positive, but I find myself getting knocked down here
and there. I try my best to keep a happy face for my mom, a tear sneaks in
every now and again, as I'm sure it will, but I try my best to keep her in
postive spirits.

I know how it feels to have your best friend be hurting. It makes you want
to give anything to take that hurt away, even if it means you have to take
it yourself. I think in all of this, I've learned that every moment is
precious, I've learned a great deal of patience, and I've also learned that
my mom is my hero and someone I strive to be like everyday. I wish I had
her strength.

Please tell your mom we love her and you too. If we have to do it, we might
as well do it together.

But I am glad that you are here.
My mom was diagnosed with BC Mets to her bones, and she has a couple
of spots on her liver that are questionable. It took super human
effort to get her diagnosed, because she does not have any evidence of
cancer in her breasts, or her lymph nodes. The way they found it was
breast cancer was to do a biopsy of her pelvic bone in an area that is
full of cancer. It came back positive for BC markers. It was a shock
and is very frightening.

Right now she is at MD Anderson in Houston. She is receiving
radiation on both of her hips, her left shoulder and the middle of her
spine. They tell her it is the worst case of bone disease that they
have ever seen. For years she thought it was arthritis. It would
have been better if she had actually had BC in her breast, because
then they would have known to look for mets instead of just insisting
that it was arthritis.

She will begin chemo once radiation is finished. Radiation has
provided a great relief from the pain, and it promises to continue to
do so. Of course, I am not naive or in denial and I know that she has
a terminal illness. I do not know however what the future may hold.
I am just trying to hold on to each day, let go of things that I
cannot control, and try to keep joy and normality in my life. My
Mother is my best friend, and she is only 54. I never in my wildest
thoughts would have guessed that I would have the possibility of
losing her at such an early age.

I am here to vent and join my fellow sisters in this fight for our
mother's lives. The good, the bad, the ugly. I've noticed it is slow
around here. I hope that more people are able to find their way here,
because sadly, there are alot of us out there.

Even though there we have no family history, and mom has not been on hormonal therapy, my sister started out doing mammograms, and so I have had one every year since I was 38. Also, I get a full physical from both my family dr. and OB/GYN every year, and do self breast exams, though mom's tumor was about the size of an peanut, no shell. The scary part is that my mom's BC is not necessarily genetic, but it is very hormonal responsive. Some of the problem with the bones she has had is due to taking hormone blockers, which tend to weaken the bones. The bone builders don't seem to work as fast and ostoeporosis develops.

So, I agree, Eliza, you can't ever trust that you are "safe."

I asked this same question to my mother's doctor. I was curious because hers came back as not the gentetic type. What I took to mean of us not being at risk of having it passed on. When I asked the doctor the question, she was very frank and honest with me, and told me that in her opinion she didn't care what side or what test said what, she said all woman should be tested, and if you have a strong family history to get mammograms earlier.

We should all be proactive in this. Our mother's, aunt and sisters are fighting on the battle field, and we should be the front lines. I'm very glad of the doctors honest opinion. Because in my head I thought I was safe, and that may not always be the case. I never even thought about breast cancer before my mother was diagnosed. We have no family history, she was not on hormonal therapy, it was just something that happened.

Ten years go this october will be my mother's anniversary in which she
was first told she had breast cancer (1998). Since then my sister was
diagonised with the disease in 2001 and lost her battle in 2005 at the
age of 39. Now my Aunt (mom's sister) is battleing the disease.

Before she died, my sister found out that it was genetic and we are
all being tested. I don't have the gene, my Aunt does and so does her
daughter. We get my mother's results next Monday and we will also find
out if her cancer is back. My Aunt has the same exact gene on the same
chromisome as my sister, Identical. How do we find out where it
originated if now on in the family was diagonised with it before my
mother? Like what side of the family and who is at risk? My sister's
daughters will be tested next year as they reasch adulthood.

I struggle with guilt every day that I see my mom hurt. I don't want to lose her, and even when I try to be realistic about everything, I still can't let her go yet. If you don't feel comfortable telling your friends and co-workers, I would highly recommend counseling. I see a therapist every two weeks, and talk to her on the phone more often, but it has helped so much to have someone to talk to, who is outside of my normal day to day interactions.

Most of my friends know, and I have let my co-workers know but there is a downside. I had an interview on Friday for a job in our department that I would be really good at. On the way to the interview, which started earlier than scheduled, one of the managers I would be supporting asked how my mom was. I expected that from her, because she is insensitive in that way, but tears welled up in my eyes, and my mind went blank for the interview, even though I said she was doing ok and that it was not an appropriate time to talk about it.

Dear Angie and Eliza,

I can't thank you both enough for being part of this group and I am so glad I joined. I am very new at all of this (Mom was diagnosed about 4 weeks ago and had a double mastectomy on Wed). I am trying to draw upon your strengths & hope and can certainly relate to the pain. Our Moms are our best friends. I have not discussed my Mom with my friends or coworkers and my husband just keeps telling me "oh, she will be fine.....". I feel so alone in all of this--except when I open my emails.

I can't help feeling selfish when I think of how I will live without her in my life. It is unimaginable. I sometimes have crept into my past and have called her Mommy. It is just so comforting.

Daughtersofmoms withBREASTCANCER Both operations successful =)

My mom is in St. David's central in Austin, Tx.

Her first operation ended at 10:30pm on Thursday, the kept her in ICU ready to go, didn't wake her up, and the second one started at 9am the following day. Both were around 6 hour operations, and both were successful, the first one the surgeon said went "really well" and the second one he said went "well." Funny how you pick up on little differences in what the dr says, even if he didn't mean them to be different. I guess the surgeon confided to my dad that he cried after the first one. That is sweet, but it seems like surgeons would try not to get attached. I have only seen mom for about a minute, in ICU, about 2 hours after the final surgery. It hurts to see her that way, especially the amount of pain she was in, but I'm hoping to see her tomorrow. She even said "damn" today, so that is a really good sign -- she never curses.

The best news is that a) the tumors on her spine are more localized than they thought; b) she is starting to be able to move one arms pretty well, the other is taking some time, but she can shrug her shoulders, which seems like a pretty big deal; and c) her pain levels have gone down enough that she is not on constant morphine. She will be in the hospital for a couple more weeks at least.

Thanks for all your thoughts, prayers, and hugs....we all need support every once in a while, and it made all the difference for me and my family.

I wish I could say I figured it out but no. I looked at my 2 reports, 1 from Feb. with biopsy and 1 June from my surgery. The tumor(s) are different. I believe I was on the right track to beat this without the surgery but I did not come to that conclusion until after surgery. I believe the 1st report was from the mamogram images and the biopsy. The 2nd report was from the actual tissue from my breast all 1468 grams. I hope this helps you. My best advise is to clean out your body as fast and as thorough as possible asap.

I am going through this now. I absolutely found the genetic counselor
amazing and really helpful. I tested negative for the 2 genes in both the
basic and also the arrangement test.
I was shocked to learn some risk factors, and learn about things that are
bad. For instance the amount of estrogen in your body, and also the amount
of soy you intake(it replicates estrogen)

That being said I am still at extremely high risk for cancer. I have been
asked to go to a oncologist to see about going on tamoxafin(SP). In
addition I was asked to do mammograms coupled with an sonogram every 6
months and doing an MRI every 6 months but to stagger them so I am being
checked every 3 months. I was also told to make plans to have any other
kids ASAP.

Part of me wishes that I didn't test, it left too many huge gaps. After all
they only test 2 of the 5 known genes at the moment. I plan to talk to the
oncologist about a double mastectomy, I can't imagine medications, and I
really can't imagine going and having testing done every 3 months.

I learned that the carrier of the BRACA 2 gene is 80% more likely to develop
ovarian cancer which is much less easy to detect and therefore much more
deadly. Thankfully I didn't test positive.

My mom died when she was32 and I miss her more than I can imagine. It makes
me so sad that she is gone, so I do this for her. After all, I tell my
husband, they are just boobs. I've used them to nurse my babies and I would
much rather have them gone than to have my kids go through life without a
mom.

There is no product that will cure cancer.
Actually there is no product that will cure anything.
The human body is a self-healing entity, and it works just fine, except when a disease reaches final stages.
A cure for cancer does not come in a package. It never will.

I, personally have had a 100% success rate in curing cancer; and have never done enough work to send anyone a bill.

Yes a couple of cancers have become 'manageable' but these are cancer also manageable alternatively.

There are also cancers that affect areas of the body that often have poor prognosis but because these cancers may not have mortality involved, become the 'success' stories we read about. An example would be Prostate Cancer that was fully contained within the testes.

The War On Cancer has been lost, not this year, not last year, but ever since it was started.

Yes a couple of cancers have become 'manageable' but these are cancer also manageable alternatively.

Many of us have read of or at least heard of the study by Australian Oncologists that state clearly, "Chemotherapy is not working and something different is needed"..........or words to that effect. When I read a study by physicians that also stated clearly, "all breast cancer metastasis is palliative", I was astounded that this admission was made. This is clear in that they hold no hope for long-term survival in such cases. The problem with this study is that it was completely ignored by American main-stream media and The American Medical Association.

This would be even more frightening if there were no alternative measures that could be taken. The sad thing is that millions of cases of such Metastasis will develop and for which these people have no hope unless they stumble upon people doing things alternatively. Put aside the regular use of terms like, "Americans are lazy and only want to take a pill" because, while true in some cases, peoples that world over are bombarded at birth that their only hope is the allopathic physician. Much of this from the story-tellers at The American Cancer Society just as the propagandists of The American Heart Association twist the truth they throw at heart patients.

For those of us that do want to learn and study, we should also be in touch with people that work with cancer patients and know what works and what doesn't. What I don't want is a temporary state of remission because of some dramatic change but rather long-term remission so that I can continue on for a long and healthy life. Quality of life is critical to me and I will not expose myself to the cut, burn, poison of conventional medicine except to correct something mechanical. Goji juice just doesn't do anything for a wound.

I don't think this has anything to do with the flaxseed group except maybe some people from flaxseed read it. If anyone wants more information on the baking soda plan they need to join alkalizing4health. It's all there. That was where the original message was from, and it was lifted (with permission) and placed in cancercured. But it's an alkalizing4health thing.

I've heard of a urine test (the same one that tests for pregnancy) that reliably tests for cancer, as well. I don't have the address any more, but you can get it from cancertutor.com. My wife has "successfully" treated her cancer (so far so good, anyway) with a whole slew of medicines by a German company calle Heel. She sees a doctor in Mexico. It's been two years since she was diagnosed and her tumor has shrunk considerably. Her tumor markers a year ago were negative and she had by then gone from stage 1 to stage zero. But when it comes to cancer you can never say you're cured for sure.

have you watched any of the videos on www.youtube.com or www.veoh.com/channels/cantron or www.video.google.com i put them different places because some computers won't let you access them on some sites..there is a lady on the cancercured yahoo group that had a brain cancer... april 2006 video talkes of a brain cancer as well as the cancer cure that works....andy johnson's sister had a brain tumor and was also cured using cantron called cancel at the time alone... there is also a cantron yahoo group with names and phone numbers in the data base and paul winter's website talks of cantron too.

Anytime my hubby and i feel that we are coming down with a cold, tonsilitis, or headaches and flu like symptoms, even upset stomachs, and gum inflammation, we ingest a teaspoon of 10 ppm colloidal silver ion and it amazingly stops it on its track. We continue to take it twice a day (morning and evening) for three days even if symptoms have stopped. As to the gum inflammation, my hubby puts it in the gums, kinda soaks and also ingests. It was healed.

other day from chemo induced leukemia. It sucks.

You should read the posts more carefully. :) I was the one who

YOU asked if it was useful to go from diagnosis to surgery, and I told
you it was the standard of care of breast cancer. I did have breast
cancer, so I kind of know what doctors recommend for it.

I would like to return to it.
Am currently taking Tarceva in the evening (2 hours after dinner), about the same time I took LDN previously.
Will try to switch my Tarceva to morning dose.

Your question is reasonable. When new drugs hit the market the dose
used is usually higher than what is recommended down the road. This
is because the pharmaceutical companies want to impress the
physician and the patient with a show of immediate efficacy. So
often this means higher toxicity.

Other factors that may be considered include half-life (36 hours),
urgency of needed response, standard dosaging, your albumn levels,
whether you smoke (faster clearance), volume of distribution (232
liters), and conflicts with other meds (e.g. competing for specific
hepatic oxygenases). Most physicians just consider the usual dose
and check any warnings or contraindications.

I am not a religious person and have no plans for it in the future, but I do think having hope if based on some validity is helpful.
I have a non small cell lung cancer, stage four. I have resisted all medical intervention since December 07, diagnoses of my cancer. I followed Bill Anderson protocol. In July 08, my lungs were so filled with fluid, that I had to have pulmonary doctor remove about 2 liters. Almost as much was still left in the lung. At this point I agreed to try Tarceva chemo pill (150 strength). It would keep fluid at bay, I was told. It does. It also reduced the pain.
I refused any other chemo for now.

But Tarceva proved to be difficult on my liver.
In August, my doctor reduced my Tarceva to half a pill (75 strength).
A month has gone by, I have the same benefits of Tarceva at half a strength, and lesser side effects.
I do not think Tarceva is going to save my life - but am pleased that my quality of life has greatly approved. I do wonder, what my results would have been if doctor started me with the lowest dose (25 strength), and than build it up if necessary.

Sorry. No one is attacking you.
Just the frustration with the ACS.
We are people that have seen what they do or rather don't do .

So you see how people here are not big fans of the ACS but apprieciate YOUR devotion to the cause. We just feel it is in the wrong direction.

I had rather see a fund to help people find thier own alternative care and I think a forum like this is very helpful.

Many of us have overcome cancer on our own and would like to spread the information. We found hope and, in some cases, fantastic results away from the mainstream of the money making big business.

Can you say that again in just simple words? Does it mean there were 2, but there ended up being only 1, and it was 1 x 1 x 2 cm? And the sizes of the 2 (2.7 and 1.6 cm) -- were those the 3 dimensions, cubed, or just 1 side, or what? Sorry to be dense, but the doctors are sort of doing this same thing with me -- one time they say it is one size, and the next time they give me 3 dimensions, so I have no idea how to compare --- and you seem to have figured it out. Sherry, Im not sure your were being attacked. I for one, appreciate
where your heart is. You are truly a good person. I think that many,
if not all on this board, are frustrated by groups like ACS, who
really do nothing to help us. And, that frustration was shown in
posted words. Please don't take it personal. Before my Dx., I too
thought the ACS was a great thing and, all pharmaceutical companies
worked for the common good. Sadly, they work to fatten themselves. I
appreciate your stepping up to help. May God bless you for it.

I too was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. My family has cancer history but not Breast cancer history. In Feb. I started life style changes, eatting 90% raw foods and exercising at least 3 times a week. I drank essiac tea 3 oz 3 times a day. I also drank the baking soda, no sweetener and taste is hard to swallow but do it anyways. 3 days before my surgery I had an ultrasound. My 2 tumors had doubled in size. In only 3 months. I did not know that the tumors would enlarge before they explode and your body would eleminate them. I was scared. I had my mastectomy May 31st. I've also learned that my mom is my hero and someone I strive to be like
everyday. I wish I had her strength.

Through all of this, she still manages to smile, and her greatest fear is

Hey Angie. I almost feel like we are twins. My mother is 52 and was
diagnosed about 3 years ago. My head has been constantly spinning since all
of this began. She had done chemotherapy, had a bilateral mastectomy and
then did radiation. They said that it was pretty aggressive so wanted to
start the chemo right away.

We were so happy when radiation was over and she got to "ring the bell" at
MD Anderson to signify her last visit. Little did we know that about 3
months later we would be right back there. It has progressed to stage IV
and has metastisized to her bones, mainly her pelvis, her spine, liver,
stomach and now some lung tissue. We recently brought her home from the
hospital and she is staying with my husband and I. I was so thrilled to
have her home, so happy to be away from all the constant visits.

I have such mixed emotions about all this. Right now I think I'm pissed
(pardon my french). Why did it have to come back. Why can't we get a
break?? You know I see those little commercials on TV of survivors and I get
so jealous and envious. Why can't we have that?

My mother is so young as well, and is my best friend. I have to stop myself
from calling her all the time like I used to. These days, unless the phone
is in her lap she cannot reach it. We're working on Physical therapy and
are improving a lilttle more each day.

I try so hard to be positive, but I find myself getting knocked down here
and there. I try my best to keep a happy face for my mom, a tear sneaks in
every now and again, as I'm sure it will, but I try my best to keep her in
postive spirits.

I know how it feels to have your best friend be hurting. It makes you want
to give anything to take that hurt away, even if it means you have to take
it yourself. I think in all of this, I've learned that every moment is
precious, I've learned a great deal of patience, and I've also learned that
my mom is my hero and someone I strive to be like everyday. I wish I had
her strength.

Please tell your mom we love her and you too. If we have to do it, we might
as well do it together.

I just heard from my dad. The first operation, the riskier of the two, went
extremely well according to the surgeon. They kept mom in ICU with a
breathing tube and did not wake her up, she will be having the second
surgery this morning at 8am. I spent most of last night having strange
dreams and talking to her....sort of strange, but getting less so....

Can I ask something here? I also had have whatever, breast cancer. The
last test I had (well five of them) showed that my numbers were on the
very low sode of normal (blood tests) I also take calcium d glucarate
for estrogen removal.

My question is this. For the most part am not terribly concerned. I
figure I got this far without surgery radiation etc once I can do it
again if need be. So that being said how does one monitor themselves?
Do you test yearly?

What kind of panels do you do to test to balance your body? I have
never seen an oncologist only two surgeons. One I dropped the other I
was actually going to do surgery but my blood pressure saved me from
that. I do not have a regular dr. I do have a chiro who also does
accupuncture and knows chinese medicine. He said he will do whatever
tests I want but I don't think he knows that much about which ones as
that is more allopathic and he is totally alternative. I do know I
need him to order the tests.

Jill. I did nothing. At least nothing the dr's approve or even admit
works. I also know a woman who saved her breasts and is now cancer
free also. I did not go to a clinic. I also did not do that treatment
so I can't speak from that. I did do about 6 weeks of juice fasting.

Thanks, Eliza. It was good to see mom resting today, and no CNN...she doesn't even watch TV, not to mention TV news. It provided a very non-relaxing atmosphere, in addition to all the people. She hasn't had internet in the room, so I've been suggesting people send cards.

Prayers and such are most welcome right now, I haven't wanted to ask for anything since I haven't felt like I can give back at the moment, but.. .this is the situation. Mom went in at 4pm for a risky operation to repair the operation they did last week. The cancer on her spine devoured the disc that they fused last week, in less than a week. If she makes it through this operation, and I have to believe she will, she will go in tomorrow morning for the operation to cement the back of her spine so that at least her spinal cord will not be under so much pressure when discs fail. The surgeon was very clear that she may not make it through. If she does, the prognosis is 6-12 months. He has been pushing chemo, she refuses, but today said he didn't think chemo would get her more than a couple of months at the most. My dad is devastated and I've seen him cry only a couple of times in my life, today he got choked up several times. Of
course, we are all devastated but she is his high school sweetheart and they've been married 49 years. Tomorrow is her 68th birthday. He broke down while trying to tell her the prognosis, which is stupid since the oncologist should have been honest with her to begin with. Since I had a very sad day yesterday, somehow I took over and explained very clearly what the options were, the risks, and the reality of the future and what she had to do. If she makes it through all of this, she will at least have a chance of regaining use of her arms, and it will make the paralysis aspect less likely. If she can handle radiation, it will slow the growth.

I'll probably never get the image of her face out of my mind, when she stared straight ahead and without expression, listening. I know she is sad, and depressed, but she would never admit it, and she would never let herself cry.

So....if everyone could keep Patty & Jerry in your prayers tonight and tomorrow, I'd appreciate it. I'd like to have even a couple of months more....

Hey Lesley. I know how the visitors thing can be. It's hard to tell people to stay away when everyone wants to do well wishing. We had to do that, I felt like my mom was in so much pain, and every second of rest made a difference, especially when they are coming in your room all the time to take my mom from one procedure to the next. It made it easier to tell them when my mom asked me to tell them she would prefer no visitors until she is feeling a little more up to it. I think the hardest part was keeping my daughter away, her only grandchild. It was hard but I know it was for the best. I eventually brought her to say hi two days before we were discharged.

Even with all of the internet age...letters and cards are what cheered my mom up the most, she could read them at her leisure when she felt up to it, and read them again and again. Pictures made it even better.

I'm so glad your mom is at home, and surrounded by love. That makes a huge difference. My mom got so tired yesterday, both her brothers and their wives came by, plus my nephew and his fiance, then my sister and I and my dad. We were all there at the same time for about 15 minutes, but her family stayed for 4 hrs or so and mom got really, really tired. I know she will look better today, but then again, her grandaughter brought down her kid, I'm not sure anyone knew she was coming but she got into town about 3:30 this morning. I am going to let mom rest today, even though I'd like to see her great-grandaughter, maybe they will take pictures. She's only 2 days out of ICU, and if she gets better soon, will have the second operation this week....

Thank you so much!! My mom's cancer has been diagnosed as stage IV, basically what they have told us is that it is not cureable, but can be controlled. We actually just came home today (Yay!!) from a week and a half hospital stay. She went in for being jaudiced and ended up having a stent to help her liver do the job that it needed to do, because a tumor was blocking it. I can't say how thankful I am to have her home!! She actually came to stay with my husband, my 18mo old daughter and myself. My hubby is actually a stay at home dad and was open hearted and ready to go when I asked him if he would mind if she stayed with us, because between the two of us she would have 24 hour care. I about burst into tears when I asked him if he would, fearful that he would say no...they actually have a wonderful relationship, but I know it's alot to ask, doing personal things for someone that you never thought you would be doing those things for. He has
been so wonderful through all of this.
It has been hard. I'm sure like many we all have to work. I work full time, am expecting another baby early december, have my toddler at home and also have a father who has parkinson's. My life is a whirlwind right now, but I can only imagine how my mother feels. She cried when we brought her inside the door to our house. I thought it was because the wheelchair was bumpy, but it was because she was so happy and so humbled to be home. A whole new view on being walked across the threshold so to speak. Just wanted to let you know that I know what you are going through. My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer that spread to her bones in Jan. 07. She had surgery to reconstruct her spine where the cancer had destroyed a disc back in June. Yesterday, the surgeon went back in to redo the fuse, the cancer has destroyed the disc that the plate was fused into. She is still in ICU today, because there was a lot of scar tissue from the first surgery. Next week, he will do another surgery to try and remove more of the cancer and stabilize her spine from the other side. After 16 hours in hospital yesterday, I could not even go up there today. So...bumpy is something I understand very well at the moment. All I can say is try to take care of yourself and your loved ones, alone you may not feel strong, but together you can make it.

I am new to the group and haven't posted yet because I feel so numb, I just don't know what to say yet. I have been reading all of your posts and my heart goes out to each and every one of you. My Mom had a double mastectomy today after finding out about an agressive cancer about 3 weeks ago. Only time will tell......

In this story, you are seeing molasses simply as a sweetener - but it is much more than that. It is a very rich mix of minerals. I believe that cancer could be a mineral deficiency disease ( I found Percy Weston's experiences described in his book Cancer: Cause and Cure to be very persuasive) - interestingly both molasses and Percy's Powder (the mineral mix that Percy Weston came up with) both contain iron which most cancer nutritionists say is a big no-no (because cancer cells have a high need of iron) - it seems however that the iron may be beneficial for some reason. Alternatively, if you are taking Percy's powder or molasses then take artemisinin (an extract or wormwood) as well as this reacts with the iron in a way tha kills cancer cells.

Richard.... I was diagnosed with agressive prostate cancer 6 months
ago by one set of doctors. A second opinion from an oncologist
concurred with their original findings that I had Class IV cancer in
the pelvic area. The second opinion went even further by saying that
he found more than the original diagnosis.

Since there is no class V, I figured I was toast, so I had nothing to
lose in trying Cesium. Well, I ordered my bottle of Cesium, but as
luck would have it, it got lost in the mail. In this case luck was on
my side. Instead of waiting around, I tried Baking Soda[Arm & Hammer]
Except since bone cancer seems to be a tough one to crack I added
some molasses to it to act as a carrier. Apparently cancer just loves
sugar. So Brer' Rabbit Molasses was my sugar.

Bottom line was when I went in for another bone scan (the doctors
wanted to know how far the bone cancer advanced) I received the
report in the mail that made me bawl like a baby. It said "No
convincing evidence on an osseous metastatic process". Then I got
another letter from my urologist stating, "Your bone scan showed no
evidence that prostate cancer is in your bone. This is good news".
Yeah, no kidding!

My PSA went from 22 to 0.1...Since then it has moved to 0.2

Is it only the Baking Soda. No...Other key ingredients for me
were/are Family Love, A Desire to Do Things and Do them I did even if
I felt it was no use, or a waste because I was dying anyway; A strong
belief that my body should naturally be healthy (actually a knowing
that my body should naturally be healthy); and by not focusing on the
diagnosis or curing myself, but focusing on the positive dynamics of
being a human being.

What has happened since is that the doctors can't believe it and are
trying hard to give me back their bone cancer. They hit me with
another test. This time another CT Scan. Still no conclusive
evidence of bone cancer. They found other goodies, but not what they
were looking for.

I am doing baking soda again. Not necessarily for cancer, but for
Gout. I took myself off of Alopurinol. I was getting a rash. I was
doing 1 teaspoon of BS in 1 cup of water twice a day. Recently raised
it to 3 a day. When I say not necessarily cancer I mean sort of for
cancer. Why? Because the prostate cancer is probably still doing its
dirty dance in my body. I did Cesium, but do not know what damage it
did to the cancer in my prostate. I am assuming that it oxygenated
enough to kill a lot of cancer. As well as I suspect the Baking Soda
did too. My pH with BS and with Cesium got close to 8.5. It held on
both substances at 8.0 or higher for 5 days.

Does that help you? Do you have more questions? And by the way, I did
not tell the doctors what I am doing. They would only try and talk me
out of it. Hah! Fat Chance....

I also ran across, quite miraculously, someone who introduced my to
Deep Nose Breathing. He has quite a story. So...focused and relaxed
breathing is another ingredient I am tossing in the mix. I am
currently on a minumum 3 hours a day for 8 days doing the focused
breathing. Lots of Oxygen going into my system, isn't there? I feel
very good about it.

Also did I mention that when I was diagnosed with Class IV Bone
cancer that I was also playing games with some heart stuff. That too
has improved.... ..vernonb

I wish I were a biochemist and could explain but I'm just a tour guide - also oranges, which are packed with citric acid, have an alkalising effect. In fact the first person to be cured following the dietary advice of Dr. Moerman (1893-1988) - ate oranges and lemons 'by the truckload'. His 'terminal' cancer disappeared and he lived to the age of 90. Maybe some of the scientists on this forum can explain how an acid can have an alkalising effect.

Phil,

That is the standard of care for breast cancer. First surgery. For
mastectomy, many women opt for immediate reconstruction. Then you see
the oncologist for the treatment plan, which will include a combination
of things such as chemo, radiation, hormonals, etc.

Al,

As children we readily believe that which we are taught by adults who
care for us. There is much comfort in this for the worried but
trustful child. There is a survival advantage too. But, as adults
struggling in a marginally comprehensible world we yearn for the
calming comfort of simple beliefs. As few childhood beliefs can be
supported by evidence many adults will ignore evidence and wrap
themselves in a cocoon of blind faith. Other adults choose to keep
their childhood faith, but their equally strong appreciation of the
value of evidence forces them into a never-ending search to make the
two congruent, hence, evidence-based religion.

This is foolishness. If religious acceptance were simply a matter of
following the laws of evidence and logic, then all religions would
have the means to reconcile all beliefs. This will never happen
because the true foundation of religion is one of culture and
values. It is a waste of time to fret over the existence of navels
on Adam and Eve, but true religion can assist many who seek moral
guidance in a world of conflicting values.

Phil, that's as good advice as one can give a new member of the list. Perhaps yours and others that have said the same thing can help people avoid being poisoned by the kind of bad information these types put out.

They have a lot to lose and Alternative practices are draining hundreds of millions of dollars from the coffers of these greedy bandits. Therein is the problem because they are attacking the Alternatives in a regular basis and looking to pass laws against our hopes.

Hi Jill,

I had breast cancer.

What did your pathology report say? ER+?

If so, I would suggest you find a good naturopath who works with cancer
patients and hormones. I am ER+, so one of my goals is to balance my
hormones. I'm currently using Calcium D-Glucarate to help get rid of
the excess estrogen in my body. The Budwig Protocol may also be a good
diet to try as the flaxseed will help get rid of excess estrogen as
well.

I am also low in iodine, so I am using Iodoral. Low iodine is linked to
breast cancer.

I also had my adrenals tested and found that I have adrenal fatigue.
Adrenal fatigue can lead to estrogen dominance which can lead to breast
cancer.

My opinion as far as cancer treatment goes is to treat the cancer at
hand, first. Then you must work on figuring out how you ended up with
cancer in the first place. There is not one reason and there is not one
treatment.

Also, cancer treatment is personal. If you want to have the surgery,
then have the surgery and don't let anyone talk you out of it. If you
do decide to skip the surgery, then don't let anyone talk you out of
that, either. :)

Oh, I would also look into LDN. I've been really happy by the reports
I've read about it.

I don't know anyone personally who has tried these alternatives but I am interested, for my Mom, in the place that your boyfriend found that administers these treatments in the US. She was recently diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer and we are looking into alternatives for her as she has had two chemo treatments and is not doing well with that.

I'm so sorry. I know exactly how you feel. I think we are about to face the same situation. She has a bad spot at T5 and they mentioned the procedure that you have been talking about, they called it a "cage" or something. They said it would support her spine but she would be very painful and a very hard procedure to handle afterward. They said she could do radiation for it but they would let her decide. The same day we got that news we got news that chemo may not be an option anymore and that we may only be looking at palliative care (keeping her comfy with pain meds and handling any infections etc as they arise), or Hospice (Keeping her at home or a facility (we're choosing home) where all we do is keep her as comfortable as possible and let her pass with dignity.

My mother had the same stare as yours. I can't describe it. It was almost like she was looking right through the doctor. She told us we had more than a month, but probably less than a year. In all of this I have never seen her cry when they tell us bad news. I don't know how she does it. I'm sure she has her private tears alone or with my dad. I try my best to show my strength when around her, but sometimes its just so hard and I can't help it.

I'm so proud of you for explaining all of these things to your family. I had that same feeling this morning. I had this "take charge" kind of feeling. I've been keeping the medications organized, making sure she eats, and drinks. It was weird. I just said," You know what, you have to do it. You have to do it for her." And that was that. I got up, made breakfast gave her a bed bath, got her dressed, and rallied my dad and husband to help her get in the chair and we were on our way.

On the way over we told stories about when we were little, we laughed and held hands. It was nice. I only wish my brothers were there today.

I will hold you in my prayers tomorrow, and the day after that and the day after that. We can do it.

A good rule of thumb in medical research is to watch Quackwatch. If QW attacks it is a good indication you have a good (alternative) product/procedure. A few years ago I researched QW and was amazed to discover how blatantly biased it (he) is. He's actually on the payroll of those who seek to suppress natural/alternative cures. I recommend you study that issue carefully so you will understand their Big Pharma/Big Medicine perspective.

I also did independent research on IPT. I would not hesitate to use it if it were appropriate to the circumstances. I think it's a powerful tool. But of course you must make up your own mind. BTW, what are the risks you are thinking of with IPT?

It is pretty much accepted knowledge that heavy doses of Chemotherapy actually cause the resistance being talked about.

The statement "evidence based' religion as it relates to evidence based medicine seems easy to understand. There is so little 'real' evidence in both. Keep in mind, we are constantly reminded of 'studies' being made and my own Urologist rants about his reliance upon studies. The studies keep changing and we're still in the same spot as regards The War On Cancer--VERY LITTLE IMPROVEMENT except in a very few cancers but for the 'major' cancers? VERY LITTLE ADVANCEMENT.

The tape recorder is a great idea. I got a camcorder, and so far have only gotten video of her reading to my niece, but it is wonderful to have something on tape. The sound of a person's voice is so special to me that I save messages on my phone. I have both mom and dad singing "happy birthday" to me this year. Now if I can just get record it from there to somewhere more permanent.....

As one who is going through the exact same thing as your mom, BC with bone
mets, it is extremely important that you live and cherish and remember every
single day. Not a day that I live is taken for granted. In fact, a diary
has truly helped me cope when I could not talk to others. Prayer is also a
great release for anxiety and fear. I would be glad to share that with you.

I have gone through this for 5 years and I am not going to let BC kill me!

Another great idea is to have a tape recorder on hand when you and your mom
talk. What wonderful memories to hear her voice and her love for you. She
needs your reassurance that you are not giving up on her and that she will
complete a full and healthy life.

Be strong, Angie. You can do this for your mom.

Thanks, Eliza. It was good to see mom resting today, and no CNN...she doesn't even watch TV, not to mention TV news. It provided a very non-relaxing atmosphere, in addition to all the people. She hasn't had internet in the room, so I've been suggesting people send cards.

And......

Prayers and such are most welcome right now, I haven't wanted to ask for anything since I haven't felt like I can give back at the moment, but...this is the situation. Mom went in at 4pm for a risky operation to repair the operation they did last week. The cancer on her spine devoured the disc that they fused last week, in less than a week. If she makes it through this operation, and I have to believe she will, she will go in tomorrow morning for the operation to cement the back of her spine so that at least her spinal cord will not be under so much pressure when discs fail. The surgeon was very clear that she may not make it through. If she does, the prognosis is 6-12 months. He has been pushing chemo, she refuses, but today said he didn't think chemo would get her more than a couple of months at the most. My dad is devastated and I've seen him cry only a couple of times in my life, today he got choked up several times. Of
course, we are all devastated but she is his high school sweetheart and they've been married 49 years. Tomorrow is her 68th birthday. He broke down while trying to tell her the prognosis, which is stupid since the oncologist should have been honest with her to begin with. Since I had a very sad day yesterday, somehow I took over and explained very clearly what the options were, the risks, and the reality of the future and what she had to do. If she makes it through all of this, she will at least have a chance of regaining use of her arms, and it will make the paralysis aspect less likely. If she can handle radiation, it will slow the growth.

I'll probably never get the image of her face out of my mind, when she stared straight ahead and without expression, listening. I know she is sad, and depressed, but she would never admit it, and she would never let herself cry.

So....if everyone could keep Patty & Jerry in your prayers tonight and tomorrow, I'd appreciate it. I'd like to have even a couple of months more....

The American Cancer Society has millions in funds. They are the richest such agency in America. They spend about 90% of their income on their own salaries and other operating expenses; and about 10% on research. Cancer research has not found a cure in 100 years, and they never will.
The fact is that the cure for cancer exists. It can be found in detail on www.medicine-no.com under CANCER. The cure is not well accepted today because it usually involves diet or abstinence; but the American people prefer to take a pill. So the drug companies thrive and so does the American Cancer Society.

I don't know about you folks but I went to the Am cancer society as well as a friend recently and got almost nothing as a way of help.
They were VERY nice and offered encouragement and would pay a small amount to help cover milage to the dr , If I would jump through hoops. But all and all on a one on one basis, Personally I saw no help for someone with no insurance and could work for almost a year.
And the research usually goes to the pharmacuticals anyway if they find something.
So am I wrong here I see no reason to promote or support them.
I personally try to help others on a one on one basis .
And like we are all doing here helping each other find a way to help each other to fight this awful stuff!!............

Hello,
Last month I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I decided on a mastectomy and an implant. I
have surgery scheduled for the end of October. My boyfriend is so into alternative treatments
and research to death this subject. He found me a place in the US that treats cancer with
baking soda, DMSO, and Laetrile. I think it's a 20 day program. I certainly have the time and
might go ahead with this but I was wondering if there is anyone on this board or anyone who
knows someone that these treatments have worked for them. I would feel so much more
comfortable if I can talk to someone who has had these treatments and it was very
successful.

Hate to sound so negiative but to say HELP "THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY"
Sounds good but bottom line what to they do for the real guy folks like us that actually have or have had the stuff.

If they found a cure or something that works , who gets it? us? no the pharmacuital industry , and they in turn make a killing off it and charge us a big fee to get it.

Is there something I am missing here?

Sorry just was extremely disapointed in the help or lack of it that I got , and now a friend.
seems like a big empty hope, and just the people that work for them make hugh salaries.

I do think that IPT is used too often in cases where the patient has
drug resistance from high-dose therapy. I also think that it is
overutilized when the patient lives too far away or otherwise can't
afford the many weeks of treatment needed.

BTW, Ukrain (which I also like) is a chemo in that it contains
thiotepa which is one of the older chemotherapies.
