I also went through the same ordeal little over two years ago and i still say if only I did this or that, my mom lived 4 hours away and i was only able to go see her every weekend, but by then she was bedridden i only wish i would of went to see her more before she was bedridden as I new that the cancer had spread to her bones and lungs but i never really wanted to face up to it as she was my best friend my everything. i called her everyday 2-3 times a day. I no she new how much I loved her, i have heard a saying that when someone dies its harder on the ones they leave behind, I realize thats so true as my mom battled cancer for lots of years and now she hurts no more. sorry i am rattling on my advice to the daughters is if you live far away from your mom visit when you can and call your mom everyday. I now miss the calls to my mom so at night i look at the sky and say a little prayer to her.
