Many of us bandy about the word "cure" and for some explanations it might seem a proper word to use but, in all illness and disease, there is no 'Cure' for anything. There is only the cessation of symptoms. We don't even know the causes of most illness let alone the cure and Conventional Medicine has given names to these symptoms as if they were all unique diseases.
Take the so-called illnesses that end in 'itis'. There's almost no end to them so when the 'itis' (Inflammation) is gone, are we cured or is the symptom of what Inflammation produces simply not evident?
A bit deep I know but one can learn to communicate in this realm and be more accurate and, perhaps, begin to learn a lot more and understand the body more as well. When you guzzle down a cough suppressant, and the cough stops, have you cured anything or have you stopped a symptom of something making you cough?
This is why Cancer, as a whole, will never be cured nor will The Common Cold.
I like to stay with the words Vincent uses when speaking what some call cure and those are, "Sustained Remission" and hopefully I can have a sustained remission that will keep me into a ripe old age that I may see my grandson grow into the fine man he appears to be headed for. I wish it for everyone.
We can tone down the words used and when we disagree- without even using the word 'disagree'. For every one of us that thinks someone has been hostile, there's a likelihood we have been guilty of the same thing. Some of us tend to be more 'profound' sounding and 'expert' when we are not. I need to watch that myself but that's what a lot of years on the fringes of Alternative Practices and 'old age' does to some of us.
Anyway, when writing, look at what is written, then again, then send it. Look for those 'inflammatory' words and replace that thought with a milder sounding one. This advice comes to all of you after too many years of my being guilty of starting fires that did not need to be started and then trying to put them out.
