I agree. I believe the two modalities should be combined.

Understanding that there are genetic markers that haven't been
discovered yet, so therefore, basing this information solely on the brca
1 and 2 mutations, I can tell you that most of the women on the young
survival coalition are NOT brca positive. The percentage is very, very
small. And many of the women are the first in their families to get
breast cancer. I am the first in my family to get breast cancer. If I
remember correctly, I think the percentage of breast cancer patients who
have either the brca 1 or 2 mutation is about 5%?? I could be mistaken
as I'm bad at remembering numbers. But the number was very low.

So, perhaps genetics doesn't play as big a part in all this? It's so
difficult to say.
