Daughtersofmoms withBREASTCANCER Genetic Testing

Hello All -

Like most of you I have a history of breast cancer in my family (mom,
aunt, cousin). I've been reading about genetic testing. My aunt did it
and show a 48% chance. She chose not to get a mastectomy and her
doctor monitors any activity in her breasts.

My question is where did you start to reserach on where you get the
testing done? Right through your insurance? There is so much
information and it seems so many hazards in terms of the testing
affecting future insurance or life insurance policies, that I want to
make sure I follow the proper guidelines.
