Keeping an eye on the root canal is good. I know there's debate about
traditional dentistry using gutta percha vs. biological dentists using
Biocalex/Endocal but the reality is that a root canal tooth is
taxidermy of the mouth. Doesn't matter what the filler is, they still
can't fully seal off infection. The problem is once they cut off the
food supply to the tooth (nerve), the immune system has no way to
reach the tooth to fight any possible infection that may be brewing.
I personally can't and won't do root canals. No on can explain why
some people seem to do OK with them and others don't. I don't do well
with them. I'm not such an extremist I would advise people to rip them
out "just in case". The issue is also that the folks doing the really
good surgeries and compatibility testing are few and far between. So
keeping an eye on it and keeping immune system strong is smart.
I wish you continued luck with this! :)
