There is lots of information about chlorella absorbing and carrying
heavy metals out of the body, both alternatively and mainstreamly.
The fact that dentists use it as a mouth wash for clients for whom
they remove amalgams speaks pretty strongly, I think, to the
probability that chlorella does a good job of detoxing the body of
mercury and other metals.
Come to think of it, cilantro, an herb, also is very good for ridding
the body of metals.
As to where to get chlorella, I recommend www.swansonvitamins.com.
They sell a brand called "Kyoto" Chlorella, and its cell walls are
smashed in such a way that it has as good or better absorption in the
body as any chlorella available. The tablets are so soft that they
are put in a foil pouch and then in a hard cardboard box. Otherwise,
in the usual plastic bottle, they break into pieces.
Cilantro can of course be found fresh in most stores, and can be
eaten in salads, added to salsa, mixed in green smoothies, etc.
